1.Tell us a little about yourself:
I’ve been drawing ever since I can remember. Art is such a huge part of my life. One of my biggest passions is getting outside and enjoying the beauty of nature. I love whenever there’s an opportunity to incorporate elements of nature in my designs that reflect that beauty. It makes me really happy when I can share something that I love so much with others. It’s so amazing to me when I see my little doodles brighten another person’s day!

2.What is your favorite beach memory?
I remember taking a trip to the beach when I was really little and experiencing the feeling of walking in sand for the first time. Walking along the beach and collecting sea shells was so different from anything I had done before. It was really magical.

 

3. What about 30A Blaze made you say "yes" when we asked you to work with us?
First, 30A Blaze is such a cool company. I think it is so amazing what they do and Davin and Lyndsey are such sweet people to work with. Secondly, I’ve never had my artwork used professionally before and designing art for 30A Blaze seemed like such a fun opportunity.

4. Where did you draw your inspiration from for your 30A BLAZE designs?
Waves and sunsets on the beach were the biggest inspiration for my designs.

5. Pick one of your designs and walk us through it: 
For the diamond design I started by working with some simple shapes and just played around with different ideas for a while before I came up with something I thought looked visually interesting and fun. The bright colors were used to evoke the good feelings of being at the beach. I approached this project wanting the focus to be a more stylized, whimsical look. Keeping it within clean, geometric borders however, gave it the more balanced organized appearance  that I was looking for.

6. What is one item that is always in your beach bag? 

I always bring my sketchbook, of course!

 

7. Any final thoughts you want to add: 
Making art and being creative brings me so much joy that I just want to be able to share that with other people. I hope that my designs will bring happiness.
